Monthly on the third Saturday at 10 a.m., through Oct. 17, join the Friends of Anacostia Park for their monthly park care day. Clean up litter, remove invasive plants, water/mulch trees or beautify this cherished park’s landscape. Meet at the Anacostia Park Roller Skating Pavilion where all supplies and instructions are provided. Dress for the weather, with sturdy close-toed shoes, and bring water. www.nps.gov/anac
