On April 9, construction began on The Waymark, 4435 Benning Rd. NE, a 109-unit affordable housing community in Ward 7. The development includes studio to three-bedroom units for residents earning 30% to 80% of area median income, with 22 units designated for Permanent Supportive Housing. Amenities include a courtyard, fitness center, bike parking, business center and playground, with access to nearby retail, schools and transit.
