Join neighbors for a fun-filled week of activities, events, games, resources, community gatherings and more during Ward 7 Week! Each day will feature different events for families, kids, seniors, pet owners, cyclists and local businesses.
Residents, local businesses, vendors, nonprofits, agencies and community partners are invited to support Ward 7 Week through tabling, resources, giveaways, volunteer support, in-kind contributions, donating in-kind items, sponsorships and local outreach. Community Day will be the largest resource and engagement event of the week with opportunities for agencies, nonprofits, businesses and service providers to connect directly with Ward 7 residents.
Celebrations will kick off Saturday, Sept. 12, and continue through Sept. 19 and include the following events:
- Cheer on DC United at Ward 7 Night at Audi Field (100 Potomac Ave SW) on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $32. Learn more and register to attend here.
- Join in a community bike ride at RFK (401 Oklahoma Ave NE) on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. Participants should bring their own bike and helmet. Refreshments will be provided. Learn more and register to attend here.
- Bring your four-legged friends to a “Dog Paw-ty” at Texas Avenue Dog Park (4600 Texas Ave SE) on Monday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. Learn more and register to attend here.
- Connect with neighbors and celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month at Talk & Taco at Maizal (2232 Town Center Drive SE) on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m. Learn more and register to attend here.
- Celebrate one year of the Constituent Services Fund at The Chateau (3439 Benning Road NE) on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. Learn more and register to attend here.
- Test your knowledge of Ward 7 and play games with happy hour and trivia at Miss Toya’s (3216 Pennsylvania Ave SE) on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 5 p.m. Learn more and register to attend here.
- Compete in the Ward 7 Basketball Tournament at Ridge Road Recreation Center (830 Ridge Road SE) on Friday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. Sign up for a team here before Wednesday, Sept. 16.
