Calling all Hine Panthers!

Hine Junior High’s class of 1972 is having a 50th Reunion Cookout on Saturday, August 27 in Temple Hills, Maryland.

Panthers will gather for a party with food, games and good times catching up with friends.

“It’s good for us to get together,” said Gloria Graham Banks, who is helping to organize. “We’re parents, grandparents now. We’ve lost some along the way. It’s good to get together and remember and socialize.”

The party runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Temple Hills Picnic Park (5200 Hagans Rd) with food service from noon to 4 p.m.

There is a $25 registrations fee. RSVP and pay by August 24.

Contact Gloria Banks at (301) 518-1439 to register and pay via Cashapp $GLORIAGRAHAM BANKS or call Sheila Dent ($SheilaRDent) 240-461-8678.

Built in 1966, Hine Junior High served area students from 310 Seventh St. SE until it was shuttered in 2008. In 2014, construction began on the Residences at Eastern Market, which now occupy the site.
