The John Wall Family Foundation is helping Ward 8 residents pay their rent. The program, known as“202 Assist,” was launched in last May.
“As the District continues to respond to and recover from this public health emergency, we will continue to prioritize protections and supports to meet the housing needs of residents,” said Mayor Muriel Bowser (D). “We encourage residents, particularly our income-renters, to take advantage of these innovative programs.”
202 Assist provides rent assistance to Ward 8 residents impacted most by the COVID-19. The foundation is working with Mayor Muriel Bowser (D), the DC Department of Housing and Community Development, Lydia’s House and Housing Counseling Services to identify qualifying applicants and disperse rent relief.
