Call for Organizations to Join Green Jobs Luncheon

On Saturday, February 29th at 12 p.m., Dreaming Out Loud (DOL) and Arcadia will host a Green Jobs Luncheon at Rooting DC, a yearly gardening conference that attracts over 1000 local residents. DOL will fill a room with local organizations doing work in food, agriculture, environmental sustainability and social justice who are recruiting for open positions, as well as job seekers looking to network and make some matches.

This job fair is the first of its kind at Rooting DC, and they are seeking more organizations to make it a success. The conference takes place at Ron Brown Prepartory (4800 Meade St. NE).

The Hiring season has begun in the local food and agriculture scene and we know how hard it can be to find the right candidate. That’s why we’re inviting organizations to be one of our ten exhibitors.

During the speed-dating style session, organizations get the chance to talk about work in food, agriculture, environmental sustainability and social justice fields and meet local residents who are eager to meet your staffing needs. Afterwards, Rooting DC will follow up with all attendees and wider networks about attending organizations. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Please sign up before Thursday, Feb. 27 to confirm presentation and get your information in the resource guide. Sign Up to be an Employer Exhibitor at the DOL Green Job Fair
