The Wharf Job Fair Seeks District Employees

Team team working on the massive development project that is The Wharf Phase 2 is actively seeking local residents to join the construction team.
The Wharf Job Fair will take place Friday, January 24th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The DC Envision Center at DCHA Southwest Family Enhancement & Career Center (1200 Delaware Ave. SW). It is is open to DC Residents only.

The Wharf prime contractors Balfour Beatty, Donohoe and DPR Construction, together with numerous subcontractors will be available to talk one-on-one with participants about job and apprenticeship opportunities, application procedures, hiring schedule, and more.

This will be an excellent opportunity to interview for positions in the fields of the skilled trades, skilled labor, and general labor, as well as for entry level and apprenticeship opportunities.

All attendees are advised to register and arrive on time for your scheduled appointment as late arrivals and walk-ins may be limited. Applicants should demonstrate dependability, a great attitude, and a passion to learn.

Applicants should:

  • Dress for a job interview and arrive during the scheduled time slot
  • Bring four Copies of an Updated, Error-Free Resume if you have one.
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID (e.g., unexpired Driver’s License), proving DC residency and age (candidates must be 18 years old or older)
