The D.C. Policy Center has been hired by the DC STEM Network to learn from parents and caregivers what they know and think about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and STEM -related programming and services for children and youth.
DC-based and woman-owned small business BRIDGES Inc is doing the outreach for the event, working to find parents and caregivers who live in Wards 5, 6, 7, and 8 to participate in a focus group about their experience (or lack of experience) with these STEM-related programs.
Participants will discuss how you learn about school programs and extracurricular activities. Your child does not need to have participated in any prior STEM activities in order for you to participate in the fun, interactive focus group. All participants will receive a stipend and dinner is provided.
There are two upcoming Events in Wards 7 and 8. The Ward 7 event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 29 at Dorothy Height/Benning Library (3955 Benning Rd NW).
The Ward 8 event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 28 at William Lockridge/Bellevue Library (115 Atlantic St. SW).
If you are interested in participating in a focus group, register online or call 202-670-6995.
