
Martha’s table is open in Ward 8! Their location at The Commons at Stanton Square (2375 Elvans Rd. SE) offers resources for neighbors of all ages with an emphasis on programming for families with young children. In addition to the food market and affordable clothing store, the non-profit offers quality early childhood education for kids from 6 weeks to second grade.
The goal at Martha’s Table is to support stronger children, stronger families and stronger communities by increasing access to education, food and opportunity in the District. The new location has a focus on young children and the community that raises them, believing that every child deserves both the opportunity for the brightest future as well as a deeply engaged family and community that are committed to that success.

Education
For kids aged 6 weeks to 3 years of age, Martha’s table offers programs running from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. year-round. For elementary aged students in PK3 through second grade, Martha’s Table offers literacy-based programming and engaging out of school time activities for after-school and days without classes.
These comprehensive programs with wraparound family support are designed to prepare students for academic and lifetime success.

No-Cost School Markets
In partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank, the Joyful Food Market program hosts monthly no-cost markets at over 50 elementary schools in wards 7 and 8. There, families can take home fresh produce, try delicious recipes and get inspired about healthy eating.

Martha’s Market
Martha’s Market is located in the lobby at The Commons at Stanton Square. The food market offers no-cost shopping for fresh high-quality fruits, vegetables and pantry items. Neighbors are invited to shop once a month, anytime from Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Martha’s Outfitters
The clothing store Martha’s Outfitters is located at 2204 Martin Luther King Ave Jr. SE, across from the Big Chair in Historic Anacostia. The store provides no-cost children’s clothing, uniforms, baby items, and business attire for families with young children.
Martha’s Outfitters is open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact them by telephone at (202) 885-9613.
