Shepherd Parkway volunteers hold their signature community clean-ups every second Saturday of the month, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 2018 clean-up dates are: Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, Aug. 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. Volunteers meet in the picnic area near the corner of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, SE. Gloves, bags and light refreshments are provided. Wear boots and clothes that can get dirty.
