It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Anacostia Arts Center. Celebrate the holiday season with the 4th Annual Selfies with Santa!

This celebration has become a community staple to kick off the holiday season. Guests will have the opportunity to take a complimentary photo with Santa, while enjoying holiday DJing by the Cosmic Edge and carols from our resident church – Inner Light Ministries. In collaboration with small businesses, the winner of the Best Elf Costume contest will receive a $30 gift certificate to spend at any store, including the latest addition to the Arts Center, Mahogany Books.

Returning for the festivities, by popular demand is Holiday StarKiller Strike Back curated by Andrew Wodzianski. The George Lucas-inspired exhibition will be on display from December 8, 2017 through January 20, 2018.

Project Create will host a family crafting activity, along with wreath-making, free refreshments, merriment and joy!

The festivities will take place December 16, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Anacostia Arts Center (1231 Good Hope Rd SE).

All activities are free and open to the public. RSVP online, via telephone at 202-631-6291 or by visiting the Anacostia Arts Center at 1231 Good Hope Rd SE.

The Anacostia Arts Center is a project of the ARCH Development Corporation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating a home for small businesses, artists, arts and cultural organizations to fulfill its commitment to the revitalization and sustainable economic development of Historic Anacostia. The 9,300-square ft. arts center opened in June of 2013 and includes a café, a black box theatre, two boutiques, a physical therapy studio, an artist exchange, and bookstore.
